Migrant vs. Native. What really happens when migration forms a multicultural society?

Riots occurred in migrant communities in France during 2005 and 2007.  Other European nations feared that similar riots would occur.  The US and Canada also have large migrant populations are these riots also occurring over there?

Media accounts of the riots that spread across France in the fall of 2005 lay the blame squarely on a racist society that has marginalized the children and grandchildren of North African immigrants.Why are these people being marginalised?
With the growing unrest in northern Africa even more migrants will move towards Europe.  How will these countries cope with this movement?
